Dr. Wenyu Qu

Hailing from the great plains of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dr. Qu has enthusiastically set new roots in the greater Boston area to become one of the awesome doctors at Medford Dental Associates. He completed his undergraduate years at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in molecular and cellular biology. He then made the move to the east coast where he attended Boston University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. At Boston University, Dr. Qu received his foundational training in digital dentistry, learning how to incorporate CAD/CAM technology into his everyday practice. It is also where he fell in love with the city of Boston.

Most recently, Dr. Qu completed his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in a General Practice Residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where he learned to manage complicated treatment plans as well as special needs dentistry. Aside from general dentistry, Dr. Qu has received training in implant dentistry through Smile Systems and is experienced in both implant placement and implant restorations.

Dr. Qu is a member of the ADA, MDS, AAID, and AGD.

In his free time, Dr. Qu likes to travel the world, watch a good movie, and spend time with his wife, Sarah.

Dr. Hobaica

Dr. Benjamin Hobaica, DMD

Dr. Benjamin Hobaica is a native of Clinton, New York, and graduated from Utica College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude. He received his doctoral degree of Dental Medicine at Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Boston University, Cum Laude. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year post-doctoral professional education program at the James M. Rozanski Dental Residency program in Utica, New York. Dr. Hobaica is a member of the New York State Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Society and involved in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is involved with community health in suburban Boston, acting as a provider and is an attending faculty for dental students from both Boston University and Tuft University.

His interest in both implant placement and implant restorations has led to completion of the Boston MaxiCourse, an AAID accredited program involving 300 course hours of surgical education and training in implant dentistry. In addition to implant dentistry, Dr. Hobaica is committed to all aspects of general practice including restorative (fillings), endodontics, extractions and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Hobaica is a previous collegiate baseball player and coach, and often enjoys watching a local baseball or hockey game. In his off time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends.
